RY MBTROI'bLITAN - TROTTING ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of this Association was held yesterday afternoon. There was a full attendance of members, and Mr C. Hood Williams was lv the chair. Programme, (accompanied by balance* sheets and list of members) were received from the New Brighton Trotting Club and the Lower Heathcote Racing and Trotting Club, of the meetiugs they propose to bold on the 18th inst. and Ist prox. respectively. Io was resolved—"That as the New Brighton Trotting Club and the Lower Heathcote Racing and Trotting Club have now submitted their respective programmes of the above-mentioned meetings to the Canterbury Metropolitan Trotting Association for approval, the said programmes be approved, on the Understanding that in future all programmes must ba submitted to the Association, in accordance with tbe rules of the Canterbury Metropolitan Trotting Association ; and that all future meetlugs of the above-mentioned and other trotting clubs in this district must be held under the rules of this Association; and that letters ba written to the New Brighton Trotting Club and the Lower Heathcote Trotting Club, and other trotting clubs In this district to that effect."
