DARFIELD MONTHLY STOCK SALE.
Oα Friday last at the above yards there was a fair entry of stock and an average attendance of buyers. The sheep offering were principally hoggets and ewes and lambs, only about two small lines of fat sheep being sent forward. Competition was fairly good throughout, hoggets selling better than for some time past, and at auction and privately pretty well every line of sheep changed hands. Messrs Ford and Co. sold for their clients 152 crossbred hoggets at 14s, 46 shorn fat ewes at 12s lid, 14 do at 12s, 16 do at 9a 2d, and crossbred ho?gets at 10s 3d, 2 head fat cattle at £7 ss, 20 store pigs at from 11s to 13s, and sundries. Messrs Pvne and Co. sold 472 hoggets at from 12s 4d to 12s sd, 100 do at 8s 6d, 56 merino ewes and lambs at 8s 6d, 40 crossbred ewes at 11s Bd, and a line of hoggets it 12s Bd. Messrs Miles AND Co. sold 31 hoggets at 12s lid, 109 do at 10s 9d, 97 ewes md lambs at 12s 2d, 100 merino wethers at 10s 5d to 10s 9d, 63 crossbred ewes and lambs at 103 Id. Messrs Todhttnter and Jennings sold for clients, 54 crossbred ewes and lambe at 17s 3d, 186 merino ewes at 6s sd, 69 do at 9s 3d, 43 do at 9s 6d, 160 first cross hogget 3at 10s 103, 50 three-quarter bred hoggets at 13s 10d, 80 do at 11s sd, 30 fat merino ewes at 10s 10d, 36 crossbred ewes at 14s 2d, 43 merino ewes and lamh3 at 93 9d, 81 do at 8s 6d, 128 do at 10s, 148 do at 9s 10d, 4 yearling cattle at from 27s to 31s, 5 eighteen months , old at 425, horse at £85s, rye grass seed at 3s per bushel, and about 6000 ft timber at prices ranging from 6s to 7s 6d per 100 ft.
