REGISTERED LETTERS AND THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL DELIVERY.

Sir,—ln the event of the San Francisca mail arriving in Christchurch on Saturday, and there being an over-the-counter delivery of letters the same evening, it is to bY sincerely hoped that the postal authorities will arrange that the registered letters will be delivered as well as the ordinary letters, J and so save a large number of Christchurcfc J residents from having to wait for their I registered letters till past midday on Monday, causing, in some cases, considerable inconvenience.
