ST. ALBANS CRICKET CLUB.

j The annual general meeting of members j of the St. Albans Cricket Club was held in ! St. Michael's schoolroom lust evening. • There was a good atteudance, and the chair ■ was occupieil by Mr C. Colville. The report iof the Committee congratulated the Club ; on the success of the past season, though ' owing to several members being away for part of the season the Club did not make such a good show as it might have done. The balance-sheet showed that the receipts > had been £37 8s Id, and expenditure £32 j Is s£d, leaving a credit balance of £5 6s 7 jd. 1 The assets amounted to £26, and there were j no liabilitie i. The report and balance-sheet ' were unanimously adopted. The election of ; officers for the ensuing year resulted as j follows :—Patron, Mr G. G. Stead; Pre- ! sident, Mr H. O. D. Meares (re-elected); j Vice-President, Hon. J. T. Peacock, Messrs • A. E. G. Rhodes, R. H. Rhodes, G. Dickenson, Geo. Capper, A. F. Redwood, W. J. Neate, J. Mann, F. Smith, and Eden George; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr F. Nott; Assistant Secretary, Mr J. R. Allsopp; Ground Committee, Messrs J. Colville, 0. Colville, C. Harris, R Smith, and H. West; Selection Committee, Messrs C. Colville, J. Parkyn, and Ritchie. The election ot Captain was held over till the opening day of the season ; Auditors, Messrs J. Biiton and G. Ritchie; Delegate to the I Junior Cup Committee, Mr C. Eldridge. I Nineteen new members were elected. It was ' decided to enter two teams for the Presi- j dent's Cup, and one for the Junior Cup. j The subscription was fixed at 15s per annum, ! and 10a lor juniors uuder twenty years of age. ' The opening of the season was fixed for Saturday, September 30th. The trophies won during the season were presented to the winners by the Chairman. Votes of thanks to the retiring officers, donors of prizes and the Chairman concluded the meeting.
