CANTERBURY 3QCKEZ CLUB, Ths usual monthly meeting of tho Consmittea of the Canterbury Jockey Club was held on Monday, Present —*Me_ars Stead (in the chair), Cow* Hshaw, Prina, Todhunter, Tkoma*, Winter, and Garforcfa. The programme of the Heath-ate Racing Club's Boxing Day Meeting was passed, and the Secretary was Instructed to write that In future the balance sheet must be audited. It was resolved—" That nest committe© meeting be called for Monday, January 9th, when tbe appointment of delegates at the next Conference will be considered; that in future a man must ba employed to specially attend to the urinals, Sec,, on each race day; that Mr Cowlishaw be added to the Totalisator Committee; i that the Totalisator Committee be instructed to take immediate steps to improve the totalisator arrangements; that the Coarse Committee be instructed to erect a lino of Eoste in front of the halfcrowa stand, to eep carriage- back from the course ; that tender- for grubbing gorse and broom be referred to Mr Morten with power to act," The programme ot the Lower Heathcote Racing and Trotting Meeting, which fa to take place oa December 26th and 27th, appears in this it-sue, and tbe attention of owners is called thereto.
