Baron Haber is dead. He leaves property valued at three and a fifth millions.
Possibly this telegram refers to Baron Hubner, a well-known diplomatist, .who. graduated under Prince Metternich, He was Austrian Ambassador to Pari3 just previous to the Crimean War, and was one of those who signed the Treaty of Paris. It is believed that he was. instrumental in preventing his sovereign from taking part with Russia and ensuring his neutrality. / It was to Baron Hubnor that the Emparor of the French made the memorable declaration, June Ist," 1859, that his Government was dissatisfied with that of Austria. Baron Hubner paid a flying visit to these colonies a few years ago, and wrote an account of his travels, entitled, "Through the British Empire," which appeared in French in 1885. It was full of praise of the English rule in India, and of the British colonies. The deCeased was in his 02ud year.
