THE NEW ORIENTAL BANK.
Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright. London, June 14. The question of reforming the Oriental Bank on the basis of converting the deposits into preference shates is being discussed. The Singapore Government withdrew its deposits from the Bank as it expected a suspension. There had for some time been a growing distrust of the institution in Great Britain. The market is now quieter. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank shares have fallen £2 and others slightly, but there has been no run on the Batiks. The Press blames the way the Bank was managed m previous years.
