LABOUR QUESTIONS.

Cameron and Co., coal merchants, have engaged nou-TJuion men ia place of Unionists. The strikers are increasing. Iα the smaller sheds they have been supplanted by free labourers. The larger sheds have suspended work, aud the factories are closing down. Many merchants are willing to give way, but the men are waiting for all Cameron's men. It is alleged that no notice to strike was given and terms were not asked. The masters are discussing the situation, but several have applied to the men to resume, and offered to resign their connection with the Masters' Society. The Press urges the masters to capitulate.
February 12, The Shipping Federation, fearing an extension of the coalminers , strike,; is hastily making arrangements to load and discharge vessels by free labour.
