The Desire of Sydenham Lodge, 1.0. G.T., JNo. to, held their usual meeting on Wednesday last, in the Free Methodist Church, Colombo road. The Lodge was opened at 7.30 by Chief Templar Bro. Robinson, when two candidates were proposed and four initiated. A large amount of routine business was transacted, after which, it being pound night, the various goods were put up to auction by Bro. Forest. Letters were received from the Reviving Stream Lodge, No. 75, and the Dauntless Lodge, No. 7, inviting the officers and members of this Lodge to pay fraternal visits to the above Lodges on the 14th and 15th insts. The invitations were accepted, and Bro. Rogers, on behalf of the Reviving Stream, No. 75, thanked those who attended the church parade on Sunday last. The Lodge, which was well attended by members and visitors, was closed at 9.45 by the Chief Templar, Bro. Robinson.
