Assault.—Robert Harris, of Governor's Bay, was charged on the information of his wife, Jane Harris, with assaulting her. Accused denied the offence. Jane Harris, wife of the accused, gave evidence detailing the assault. Owing to his behaviour and the threats he made she was afraid of him, and wished him to be bound over to keep the peace. After hearing her evidence, which was corroborated by her two sons, accused was bound over to keep the peace for six months.

I intend to Uke out a fresh policy with you. as evidence of my entire satisfaction at the result of my matured endowment, and appreciation of the prompt and businesslike mode of conducting its affairs as shown by the New York Life.
