(FROM OUB CORRESPONDENT.) AUCKLAND, JHine 2. At the time of telegraphing,.''he meteorological forecast for the Auckland Racing Club's Winter Meeting at Ellerslie tomorrow does not look promising. Takapau is still favorite for the Steeplechase, and he is very fit. Tais morning he did threequa_ier pace work with Karewa. ' Yum Yum, who is a bit above herself, did three mileti at half i ace. Sentinel performed walk .ing exercise only; he Looked fresh and well. Omata is looked on as the correct pea from Williamson's stable, who also, has Ingoringi, Nap and Parnell engaged. If Talcapau stands up, I think he will win, and I fancy Theorem for the Hurdles, with Sentinel next best. Try Fluke and Criminal are both amiss. Dolosa is The ground will be heavy going.
