The cutter, Evening Star, eighteen tons, owned by Henderson and Spraggon, of Auckland, went ashore in Rangitoto Channel to-day, through missing stays whilst beating up against a strong westerly breeze. She was blown on to the rocks, and commenced to break up close to the Rangitoto beacon. The crew, comprising S. Palmer (master), J. Fairbain, and a Maori named Tani, got safelyashore in a dingy. The Evening Star wa# on her way from Whanaki to ; Auckland. It ia believed she will be a total loss. It Is much better not to drink at all if y>u cannot Obtain the genuine Wolfe's
