RE JOSEPH CARR, Jun.
The first meeting of creditors in the estate of Joseph Carr, jun., laborer, of Southbridge, was to have been held at 2 p.m. yesterday, at the office of the Official Assignee, but a quorum did not attend. The bankrupt's statement showed unsecured creditors J862 10s 3_d, secured £297 2s Bd, less estimated value of securities £300 ; surplus to contra £2 17s 4d ; total debts £59 12s ll_d; assets, furniture, £4; deficiency£s9l2s 11.d. The unsecured creditors were chiefly tradesmen at Southbridge and Lce3ton;" jthe amounts ranging from 2s 6d to £12 9s 3d. The secured creditor was Mr A. W. Bennetts, stock dealer, < who held an agreement for sale of three acres of land and house at Milltown, Southbridge for £300 and interest.
