ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET.
There were between 7000 and 8000 sheep yarded at Ashburton yesterday. Fat crossbred ewes realised oa, two - tooth crossbreda 14s 7d to Us 10d, fat merino wethers 10s 6d, merino ewes 4s 3d, fourtooth wether* 8s to 0s 4d, crossbred ewes 7s 9d to 7s lOd; pigs, sucker*, sold at Iβ 6d; sows in pig 32s 6d, baconers 16s 6d to 18s. Cattle, Mto£i 15s. Mb F. Rioxman had an entry of about 70 horses at the Anhburton Arcade on Saturday. *Of these 60 changed hands at up to £23 for sound medium draughts, and £6 to £12 for second-rate draughts. A lot of farm implements and furniture were also sold. There was a large attendance of the public, and biddings were fairly brisk;
