ARREST BY THE GOVERNMENT ;
KESCUE BY THE POPULACE.

Oa Monday the Government; took steps to enforce the notioe served oa ex-Queen Natalie ordering her to quio the country, and at theit direction she waß seized and thrust into a carriage, which was then driven along the quay escorted by a body of gensdannea. The news of Queen Natalie's seizure quickly spread, and a crowd soon surrounded the vehicle. Without much difficulty, the indignant populace rescued the ex-Queen from the limbs of the law, and conveyed her back to her residence. The principal merchants aud all th« studeuta in the city disapprove of the action of the Government, and are upholding the cause of Natalie. Hundreds of people are guarding her residence to prevent her reoapture bj the officers of the Government. In the evening a good deal of fighting took place in the streets of the city, and two of the Queen's supporter! were killed.
