New York, May 19, The United States cruiser Charlet ton, which had.cleared for action with the view of a brush with the Chilian rebel steamer Esmeralda, has left Aoapulco harbor. Her commander suspects that the Itata passed Acapulco without calling in, and b4 has accordingly gone south in searob of her. Received May 20th, 1.80 a.m. Nbw York, May 18. The Esmeralda has on board ft stook of provisions for the Itata. The latest advices received in thi city state that the Itata is safe, having an ample supply of coal and provisions on board.
