HIS FINANCIAL POSITION.
[PER _»____ ASSOCIATION.] Received May 19th, 10.10 a.m. London, May 17. The Sunday Times recently published an article attacking the Prince of Wales's financial oondition. Mr Augustus Harris, the proprietor of the paper, expressed to the Prince that the article was unauthorised and summarily dismissed Mr Phil Robinson, the editor, who alleges that he wrote according to instructions. He demands his salary, and threatens to sue for it, and call the Prince of Wales as a witness, Mr A'Beckett, of Punch, has been appointed editor in Mr Robinson's place, and the paper publishes an abject apology for its remarks, Received May 20th, 12.20 a.__ London, May 19. The statement ia published that the Barings and Messrs Cristobal De Murrietta and Co. (a South American and Spanish firm of merchants) received £300,000 advances from the Queen for a renewal of the mortgage on the Sandringham estate.
