THE DEVIATION QUESTION.
LECTURE AND PUBLIC MEETING.
The public meeting and leoture, under the auspices of the Midland Railway League, in connection with the discussion of the question of the deviation took place last night in the Oddfellows' HalL There was a very largo attendance of ladies and gentlemen, the hall being filled very shortly after tho doors were opened.
Prior to the public meeting a meeting of the Committee was held, at which the Chairman, Mr Acton Adams, presided. The report for presentation to the general meeting was brought up and approved.
