MASTER PRINTERS' ASSOCIATION.
(PBSSB ASSOCIATION T__9B__> . DUNEDIN. April 4. At a Conference of the Federated Association of Master Printers it was unanimously resolved—" That in tbe opinion of this Council the Governments•should, as far as possible, distribute the printing required amongst the private printing houses of tbe colony by tender, the comgitition of tbe Government Printing Sice being unfair towards a local Industry In which a very large amount of capital is invested, and which affords a large measure of employment; also that tbe printing and publication by the Government of such works as Law Reports, Transactions of the New Zealand' Institute; BuUer's Book of Birds, &c., M is a distinct Interference with tbe printing trade of tbe colony." It waa also agreed to express sympathy with tbe principle of combined Boards of Conciliation.
