THE SPANISH ELECTIONS.
[PEB PRKSB ASSOCIATION. I Received February 3rd, 10.10 a.m. Madrid, February 2. The Spanish elections are proceeding. The Republicans, Socialists and Independents have been defeated in Madrid by large majorities. Received February itb, 12.80 a.m. Madrid, February 3. The elections have resulted in a great victory for the Government. Among the defeated candidates is the author of the Universal Suffrage Bill, was passed by Congress in March last almost without opposition, and ratified by the Senate two months later.
