THE GOVERNMENT AGENT THREATENED. (per press association.) ■ Received January 9th, 1 a.m. Thursday Island, January 8. A tribe of head hunters have annihilated a village of forty uhabitants, and are preparing to take the next village, which is next to the residence of Mr Cameron, the Government Agent, whom they also threaten to attack. A force of constabulary has been sent from Port Moresby to protect Mr Cameron.
