FURTHER STRIKES. (FSB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received January Sth. 10.30 a.m. London, January 7. The rioters who were arrested this week have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment. The local trade at Coatbridge near Glasgow, where there are extensive ironworks, is paralysed by the strike, and factories have stopped work. Burns asserts that the men are winning. Sleepers were placed across the North British.line, but were discovered in time, and the attempt to wreck the train failed. Received January Bth, 8 p.m. London, January 7. At the instigation of John Burns 3000 dockers have gone ou strike out of .sympathy with the railway men. The trades and manufacturers suffer worse than the Railway Companies, as many of the works are stopped for the want of coal.
