SOUTH RAKAIA SPORTS.

' The South Bakala annual sports and races were held, as usual, on Boxing Day in the Public Domain. Although the weather was rery Windy, the attendance on the whole was very good. The Bumham Band was on the ground,, and played in its usual good style throughout the day. The following is a list of the events:— Athletic Events. * Men's 100 yards handicap—A.' The race ball in the Town Hall In the evening was as usual well attended, the music being supplied by Messrs Gates and Ward from Ashborton, Mr W. Pearce acting as M.C.
