ST. MICHAEL'S SCHOOL.
The St.' Michael's school broke-up on Friday last, the prizes being distributed by the Venerable Archdeacon Thorpe, who had previously examined the scholars in Divinity, and who expressed himself as well pleased with the : progress made. A large number of prizes had been provided by Mesdames Kimbell, Shaw, Evans, Amyes,. Miss -Parkerson,.Miss Hubton, Venerable Archdeacon Thorpe, Mr McClea and others interested in the school.
The following is the prize list:— : Class Upper T.—Ella Shaw, religious knowledge 1, English 1; Agnes Hockley, religious knowledge 2, English 2. Lower' V.—Grace Hockley, religious knowledge 1, English-1; Alfred Amyes, religions knowledge 2, English 2. - ■ Class IV- — Nellie Coombs, religious knowledge I, English 2 (equal); Mary Rew, religious knowledge 2 (equal), English!; Llewellyn Hamilton, religious knowledge 2 (equal), English 2 (equal).
