At a meeting of the local branch of the,lrish League it was suggested that an intercolonial conference should be convened to consider the present state bf Irish affairs. Received December 21st. 6 p.m. "*?'• London, December 20. The Tipperary tenants are now pay* ing their rents, and the plan o! campaign shows signs of collapsing in that county. The Queen's Proctor is enquiring into tbe O'Shea divorce case. The Roman Catholic priests are making a house-to-house canvass against Mr Parnell's candidate for Kilkenny North. Collisions take place daily between the opposing parties, and troops are arriving to maintain order. Mr T. Sexton declares that his party will hereafter demand assurances from Mr Gladstone beyond tbe points obtained by Mr Parnell with respect to Home Rule.
