The receipts were—from Trades Societies' contributions, £28,662; from English Unions, £4060; from the public, £4550 • total, £37,272. The expenditure amounted to £37,034. The total cost of administration was £108. The principal contributions were—Shearers' Union, £1700; Engineers' Society, £1000; Gas Stokers' Union, £1600; Iron Moulders' Union, £5800; Locomotive Engineers and Firemen, £2000; Railway Association, £1200; Printers' Association, £2000.
