VOLUNTEER PRIZE fIIBING.

The second of the monthly prise compev titlons among the Volunteers interested In the Hillsborough range was fired on Saturday afternoon, there being ■ only a moderate attendance of competitors, Tha handicap men again had a day out, although the shooting was not so good as In tbo first match, the bright light and strong nor'-wester no doubt accounting for the falling off in the scores. Major Sister and Lieutenant Palalret fired with the men, scoring 65 and 60 respectively, but did not compete for the prizes. Tbo Srizes shot for wero given by Major later, Lieotent Palairet, Messrs Masdn, Struthers and Co., S. Manning and Co., and F. Egao. The following were tho highest scorers, the first <»Ls Jbeiagmbro winners.
