The monthly meeting was held on December Bth- Present—Messrs Addinell /Chairman), Crysell, Hunter. Smith, and Sheat Letters were read—From the Charitable Aid Board, stating that a meeting of the representative? of the Boad Board, in the Ashley county, would be held at the Rangiora Boad Board office on Wednesday, November 26th, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of returning two members to represent the Ashley county on the Charitable Aid Board. From R. L. Higgins, re drainage of Latto's ro&d. Mr Banter proposed and Mr Smith seconded —"That the south side of Latto's road be lowered as far as required to take the Stood water from the concrete culvert at Latto's straight to the river, and that a concrete stop be put at the eastern end to prevent scour." Carried. Mr Sheat dissented. The Clerk was also directed to invite tenders for about. lOOyds of soil and shingle to make up the road at the concrete culvert on theDowns Tenders to be in and accepted by the Chairman on Monday, December 23rd. Beaolved that Mr Woodneld be allowed the use of Reserve No. 1369 for five years, from
January Ist, 1891, provided he keot the leuuca in good- order, the land clear of gorse, and leave it laid down in grass at the end of the term, at an annual rent of ; lft per acre; the Board' be liberty* to obtain any.shingle required during the term. Accounts amounting to £14 4s 7d were passed and ordered to be paid. .
