Thames district, was admitted to probation for six months. Benjamin Davis, for the robberies of huge quantities of hardware, Ac., from Morrin and Co., was sentenced to three years' penal servitude. Chas. Chapman, who was charged with unlawfully wounding a fellow employee, named Davies, at Heilaby Bros., was acquitted, as be had received great provocation. *Wl-_-INOTON, December 8. James Catt was convicted of defrauding the Immigration Department of £7, and ™ admitted to twelve.months probation. of refunding the money and _avlng£s toward the cost of the prosecuand Buckley, for larceny, were sentenced to six months each.
