FORBURY TRAINING NOTES.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM. J DUNEDIN,November 25. At Forbury this morning Occident did a very slow mile, moving as though he was sore. St.—lalo bad a half-speed spin over a mile, going freely. Wolverine would not try, and though he beat Wayland over the Cup course the spectators were not impressed with his gallop. Freedom only, did an easy canter, and Prime Warden ditto. Milord worked before the touts were present. The others that did best work were Waitangl, Romulus, Ahua, Lady Bell, Assyrian King, Liquidation, __aone, Mariner, Dragon, and Dispute, the latter doing the best mile of tbe morning. The work generally was slow. Occident ricked himself on Saturday, which has greatly militated against his chance, yet the stable were willing last night to take fives about him, but could not be accommodated. The Spy came from Wellington yesterday morning by the Manapouri, and will be taken to Dunedin to-night.. A large number; of sporting .folk were on board the Manapouri which arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. They went on to Dunedin. A number of the spieling fraternity are also en route.
