LITTLE RIVER ROAD BOARD.
The adjourned meeting was held iv. October 27th. -- Present—The Ghattmaa and all the members. Correepondeafce was received—From Mr S, Harris, eskiog that a small piece of Tarawer* Valley road may be formed. The Clerk was instructed to have this done. From the Port Victoria Road Board, intimating tha* Oebbie'd Pass road id Iα a dangorous«tat«. Letter to be laid on the table. From the lessee of R.S. 21202, asking for .come I timber, paint, and brtcka, with a view to 'put Into repair the premises ou the said section. After discuesion a sum of £10 was voted for this purpose. From the Property Tax Department, intimating that on receipt of application for Grown nnd Native land rates they will be paid. From Mr Parkinson, asking for some timber to repair culverts onKditunaroad, he finding labor. Granted. From Mc Joblin, withdrawing his oner to accept £3 in lieu of iujuriee alleged to be received in falling ott footbridge. The Committee appointed to report on thia matter at the last meeting intimated that without en* tericK on fc he merits of the case, they had decided to recommend the payment of the £5. The Committee a report -was fully considered, and it was decided that after receiving Mr JoblfaV letfces of the 20th instant no farther sttbps b» taken. Mr T. McKenzie waited oa the Board, aeklng to be released from bis contract of formation on Kaituna road,, as owing to his fioree cootract he could cot attend to it. It was resolved — Thi* McKenzie receive 8s .per chain for mc work, as by this means be can employ hands to do it. Mr Field applied for some powder to remove some rocks oo Kaitunaroad. To be granted.
