As the subject waa a large one consideration was deferred till next month "—'* That this meeting is of opinion that the clauses in the Education Act of 1877 relating to the appointment. of teachers are vagne in their wording and unsatisfactory in their effects, and that in consequence deadlocks between Committees and boards are frequent to the serious detriment of the cause of education. The meeting requests the chairman to transmit a copy bf this to the Education Board for consideration, and for transmission to the Minister, as weU as to the member for the district.
