She left yesterday evening for Sydney, via Northern ports. Takapona, s.s., Captain Shepherd, arrived at 7,30 a. m. yesterday from Manukau, via Taranaki and- Wellington. She lefc Onehunga at 5 p.m. on the 28th, called at Taranaki on the 29th and arrived at Wellington at 7 a.m. on the 30th, sailed again at 3.30 p.m. and arrived as above. Experienced line weather from Manukau to Wellington, thence to arrival strong southerly gale. Yesterday afternoon ehe proceeded to Donedin, where she will be docked. . Hauroto, 8.8., Captain Neville, arrived at 7 a.m. .yesterday from Dunedin, via Oamaru and Timaru. She left Dunedin at 11 a. m. en the 28th, Oamaru at 11 p.m. on the 29th, and Timaru, at 7.30 p.m. yesterday, arriving as above. Experienced fine weather up the coast. For Sydney, via Wellington, she steamed yesterday afternoon.

Jane Douglas, s.s., left yesterday evening for Kaikoura. She returns to port this evening. Titnaru, ship, Captain Fullarfcon, arrived from Melbourne early yesterday morning. She sailed from Melbourne on April 16th, and experienced light airs and calms for a greater part of the voyage. The Snares was sighted on Friday, April 25th, and Port Chalmers passed on Monday last. Variables and light breezes' continued up the coast, ana Banks' Peninsula was sighted at midnight on Tuesday, when a southerly breeze was met with, and she anchored in the stream at 3 a.m. yesterday. She comes to load produce for London on account of Messrs Dalgety and Co. Kawatiri, 8.8., arrived from Westport •yesterday, w.th a cargo of coal, and left on the return crip in the evening.
