Friday, Af-ux 18. f ßefore R. Beetham, Esq., R.M-, and Geo. Gossett, Esq., J.P.] Ca__*i__ Tbespass.—J*. McDermott and A. Coppleetone, for allowing animals to wander, was fined 5s each and costs. Crvrx. Cases. —Ellesmere Road Board v J. Hewitt, claim 13s lOd for rates. There was no appearance of either parties and the case was struck out. Cameron and Myers v Owen McCormick, claim £2 6s 10d; judgment by default. Blackburn v Hans Clark, claim £2 18s; judgment by default. McGowen v H. Ho wson, claim £10 14s 9d, for' wages on threshing machine. Plaintiff alleged he was engaged by the defendant on the machine at lis 6d per 1000, on the condition that he remain.-, for the season; should he leave before he was to receive 10s 6d per 1000. He was dismissed by the defendant before the season was finished and claimed the fall amount due to him at the rate of lis 6d per 1000. Evidence was called on both sides and judgment was given for the amount claimed and expenses of two witnesses, less 8s for groceries admitted owing.
