Db_*nk_*nn_*ss. — For this offence a woman, who had not been previously convicted, was fined ss, or in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. Miscellaneous. — Alex. McNeil was charged with being found, on the night of February 10th, unlawfully in the garden of a house on the East Belt, occupied- by Charles Alger. Mr Stringer appeared for defendant. It was alleged that the defendant went into the garden and threw stones at Mr Alger's door, breaking it. The defendant denied having been on the premises at all, and there oeing no corroborative evidence in support of the charge, the case was dismissed.—David Henry Cuff was charged with having on April 11th assaulted his wife Catherine. Two witnesses spoke in general terms of defendant's habit of illusing his wife, bat knew nothing of this particular instance, and the case was dismissed.
