UNION BOWING CLITB.
Thie Club got oft the trial pairs on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Tbe results were as follows:— Firat Heafc—W. K. Searle and A. H. Jewiss 1, v L. Boanington and H. A. btewart 2. A good race to the culvert, where Searle, rowing a strong stroke, drew away and won comfortably. Second Heat—W. B. Searle and A. H. Jewiaa 1, v W. G. Roberts and S. L. Won easily. ■ Third Heat— J. Bonnington and G. Smart 1, v H. Lowry and J. Hendron 2.. The heat was won by two lengths, the race being a fair one as far as to Cowlishaw's. Final heat— J. Bonnington and G. Smart 1, t W. B. Searle and A. H. Jewiss 2. This was the best race of the lot. The boats kept even to Cowlishaw's, where Bonnington, who had tbe inside tarn, got round clear, and won, hard pressed, by & length.
