The American exchanges give news of two Sydney favourites. Mr Charles Turner, the tenor who so long upheld the fortunes of the Montague-Turner Company, has been singing with the Morrissey Opera Company in '* Carmen " and in a round of the old-fashioned English operas. Miss Annie Mayor, who for several years was leading lady here under Messrs Williamson, Garner, and Musgrove, being the original Nellie Denver in the Australian Production of "The Silver King," has tetely been playing leading parts in melodrama at one of the principal New York theatres.
