SAD ACCIDENT.

A FAMILY ALMOST ANNIHILATED. pnm raass association.] Beoaired October 16th, 1 β-m. Stdnbt, October 15. A sad accident occurred on the Murray Kiver to-day. A man named Gurney was going on the river in a boat containing his wife and seven children, when suddenly a mass of earth fell from the bank knocking the bottom out of the boat. All the occupants were thrown out into the water, and six of the children were drowned. Gurney himself was seriously injured, and his condition is considered critical. Mrs Gurney received a severe shock, and her mind is unhinged.
