SUMNER TOWN BOARD.
The nsual fortnightly meeting ofj fche Sumner Town Board was held on Tueswhen the Chalnnwi and Commissioners Graham, Kit«o_T Mills, Monck, and Newton were preset. The Chairman of the Works Committee reported that no works rnentlon nad been completedstace.the!Ust meeting, and none had been taken in S-nd. The Treasurer's statement was read, showing receipts since__ast meeting ShayS been £45 1-4 6d and expenditure __736s the balance at Bank and in hand behig' £10 9s Id. Mr James Bamford waited opon the Board. He wished the Board to reimburse him expenses incurred in a recent lawsuit arising out of the sale of an impounded horse. After discussion it was resolved that the Board failed to see their way to reimbnrse any expenses Mr Bamford might have incurred. After passing a few accounts the meeting adjourned.
