FIRES.
A two-roomed house at Methven, the property of J. Johnston, occupied by Arthur Dobbs, bootmaker, waa destroyed by fire at 1 a.m. yesterday. The fire originated in the lean-to, but it was impossible to say how. The building was insured for £65 in the Liverpool, London and Globe. The owner is a heavy lo .ser. Most of the stock was saved.
