RAILWAY BY-LAWS.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TR___RAl_.) INVEECARGILL, July 16. With reference to the question of the Railways Aot being enforced, which was raised in Napier and decided in the negative, a point cropped up in a railway bylaw case here against Guthrie and Co., who were a few weeks ago charged with sending gunpowder by rail without indicating the contents of the package. Counsel for the department produced. Gazette of the 24th January on Order of Council bringing the. force, and the objection was not fu_ther pressed. -
