EAST MALVERN.

The monthly meeting of this Board was held on Tuesday. Present—Messrs Barr, Scarlett, and Fraser. Mr Fraser was voted to the chair. Correspondence— From Mr John Ferguson, asking the Board to cut a water-table along his fence to prevent water from going down his paddocks. The Board deemed not to interfere with the natural watercourse. From Mr R. G. Fleming, complaining of the crossing to his place. From Mr W. P. Cowlishaw, saying that section 15848 was now owned by Mr William Nuttal. Mr W. J. Taylor made application to have permission to plough sides of road for the purpose of clearing gorse. Granted on the usual conditions. It was resolved that the Clerk be instructed to take proceedings against parties who had not paid their rates and renc of reserves, and that E. J. Jones be appointed dog ranger for the district. Tenders were accepted for various works, and accounts passed for payment amounting to £26 11s Bd, and the Board adjourned.
