CHRISTCHURCH.
Thursday, Junk 20. (Before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M.) Maintenance.—Charles Bisman was ordered to pay his wife Christina 6s per week towards the maintenance of their two children. Mr Byrne appeared for Mrs Bisman, Mr Leatham for. defendant.— Mzrk Christy was charged with having failed to obey an order directing him to pay 10s per week towards the support of his two children, being in arrear five weekly payments, £2 10s. In answer to the charge he swore that in the time mentioned he had paid bis wife £116s, and the case was adjourned till Monday for further evidence. Civn. Casks. — Judgments went for plaintiffs by default, with costs, in Hambley v Drury, £2 12s 6d; Gillett v Johnston, £1 9s lOd. In Gillett v Hoare, a claim of £31157 d, on judgment summons, the ability of the debtor to pay was not proved, and no order was made. Bell v Drury was adjourned till June 27th.
