GERALDINE RACING CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the members of the Geraldine Bacing Club was held at the Geraldine Hotel, on Tuesday evening last.' Present —Messrs B. H. Pearpoint (President), J. Cunningham, T. Markham, M. Connolly, B. B. Macdonald, J. Mundell, B. Taylor, J. Turner, and the Secretary, F. Wilson Smith. Mr Pearpoint occupied the chair. A statement of the receipts and expenditure for the year, as read by the Secretary, showed a slight decrease on the years working. The Chairman reported that £780 2s had been given in stakes, and £358 had been received from nominations, acceptances, &c. The race privileges had realised the sum of £259 4s 7d, while the totalisator had brought the Club £292 12s. Some old accounts had been - paid off, and £42 returned to the nominators in the Sires' Produce Stakes. The profit on the Spring Meeting had been £54, and on the Autumn Meeting £45. After a short discussion of the several items, and the form of the statement put before the meeting, the Chairman moved the adoption of the balance-sheet and report. Mr Mundell seconded, and the same was carried. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Cunningham for having ably fulfilled the duties of auditor. Messrs J. Cunningham, W. Deßenzy, J. Mundell, M. Connolly, and B. B. Macdonald were elected members of the Committee in place of the retiring members. Mr Cunningham was elected Auditor for the ensuing year. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the annual meeting. A meeting of Committee was held afterwards. Present—Messrs Pearpoint, Cunningham, Mundell, Connolly, Taylor, Macdonald, and Markham. Mr Pearpoint was unanimously re-elected Chairman. Messrs Mundell and F. Wilson Smith were elected Treasurer and Secretary respectively. A Sub-Committee, consisting of the Chairman, with Messrs MundeD, Cunningham, and the Secretary, was foimed to draw up a programme for a spring meeting, and submit the same to a Committee meeting to be held on the 27th insU The meeting then adjourned.
