COURTENAY ROAD BOARD.
TO THB EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sib, —Your Press issue of . the 14th gives an account of the Courtenay Road Board's meeting held on the Bth, but I fail to see the report of the Clerk on the state of different roads in the district. For some meetings past I have been looking for the same, but can never see any report. I think it should be the duty of the Clerk to report at every meeting, then the ratepayers would know; that ali members of the Board have had their attention drawn to the state of the different roads out of their own district. At present I know of two roads greatly used by the Dublic, viz., part of road from Kirwee to the Hawkins river, and from Duncan's corner to Sheffield road. In winter at times they are unfit for wheel traffic; at present from "Duncan's" the road is in a bad state. The Clerk's attention has been called to this road several times. Has he reported the same to the members ?—Tours, &c., v • Batkpaybb.
