[PBBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMB.I AUCKLAND, July 21. An -unoccupied house in Gi-afton road, which was partially burnt down a short time ago, was totally destroyed by fire today. The house is the property of Mr S. E. Hughes. A large number of passengers from America are on board the Mariposa en route to visit the Melbourne Exhibition.
The applications for shares in the Kauri Timber Company in Auckland now amount to 55,223. Bequests have still to come in from the South and country, and it is anticipated that applications will exceed the number allotted to New Zealand.
