[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.] WELLINGTON, July 19. The Hon. Geo. Fishor, Italian Consul, has written to the Minister of Justice, requesting that, as Gasparini, one of the escapees from Noumea, i 3 an Italian, that he may be supx>lied with aa Italian interpreter when next taken before the Governor.
A discovery of marble has been made on on the Ohiro range, Makara, about eight miles from town, by Mr (rfcKay, of the Geological Department. It has not been ascertained if the stone exists in any quantity. In the Supreme Court this morning, in the Eenata Kawepo will case, Mr Chapman, on behalf of Mrs Donnelly, concluded his address, when the Chief Justice stated he •would reserve his decision.
DUNEDIN, July 19. At the Education Board notice of motion was given that the co-operation of other Boards be invited in devising a scheme for either periodical exchange or occasional temporary change of Inspectors.
