Fishor, Italian Consul, has written to the Minister of Justice, requesting that, as Gasparini, one of the escapees from Noumea, i 3 an Italian, that he may be supx>lied with aa Italian interpreter when next taken before the Governor.

A discovery of marble has been made on on the Ohiro range, Makara, about eight miles from town, by Mr (rfcKay, of the Geological Department. It has not been ascertained if the stone exists in any quantity.
