GREAT FOG IN ENGLAND
FIVE DAYS' DARKNESS. [PER PRE— ASSOCIATION.] Received January 16th, ".SO p.m. London, Jauuary 13. Five days' darkness has been experienced in Birmingham, and much excitement was caused, as it was thought the world had come to an end. Some of the local people had prophesied that the world would end on the 14th. Later. The dense fog which has been cxperied the past few days is now lifting, excepting in the Midlands, where it ia as black as night. Many casualties have occurred.
