ROAD BOARDS.

LINCOLN. The ordinary meeting of this Board was held on Monday. Present—Messrs H. W. Peryman (Chairman), T. A. Alsop, and J. "W. Over ton. Correspondence was read — From the Springs Road Board, asking the Board to sanction a small expenditure to improve the open crossing: on the boundary road. Agreed to. From Mr Home, asking that the rent of cottage be reduced by Is per week. Deferred. The Clerk's report was read ; and approved. Resolved that Mr Witte's ■ application for a bridge on Voss' road in 1 place of the four rows of pipes stand over for a time, the members present being ' favourable to the alterations. The Clerk ■ reported that the sum of £99 18s lid had I been expended out of the County grant upon Townshend's and Blackler's drains, ■ and the sum of £66 3s 4d in repairing the ' damage to new drain, White's and Lead- ; lers road. Resolved that all rates out- . standing-after the 29th instant be sued for; ; that the Clerk forward to the "district I constable a list of persons owning unregistered dogs, and request him to help them toreeister. Tenders accepted —Wm.Pinn, concrete culvert; J. L. Blair, embankment; The Ranger interviewed the Board re cattle on the roads. He was instructed to impound all cattle that were herded on the roads. Resolved—That application be made to the County Council for a grant . of £60 to improve Dawson's Creek, so that ( a speedy outlet be provided for the storm I water, so quickly brought down by the ■j Council's water-races in time of flood, and a further grant of £100 for repairs to the Tramway road. The Board, after passing accounts, adjourned.
