The steamer Preussen, bound for Melbourne, arrived here, having one caa. of _una_.pox on board. She has sixty passengers. Received December 16th, 10—0 pan. Melbotj-nb, December 16. The vessel Western Montreb, bound for Wellington, has been towed back to Melbourne much damaged by a severe gale. The owners cf the tug which brought her in have claimed -4ftoo ttlvtge.
Hobabt, December 16. The 8,6. lonic sailed this afternoon for New Zealand.
